Fashion Design started in the 19th century  with an English Fashion Designer Charles Frederick Worth who founded the House of Worth one of the foremost fashion houses of the 19th and 20th centuries and he was the first designer to have his label sewn into the garments that he created.  He was so successful that he was able to dictate to his customers what they should wear.

Fashion Designers apply natural beauty to clothing  and its accessories such as bracelets and necklaces.  They research on fashion trends and interpret them for their audience.  They design clothes which are functional as well as pleasing.  They work within a wide range of materials, colors, patterns, styles and consider the person and the situation in which it will be worn. 

Fashion Designers either sketch their ideas on paper or drape fabric on a dress form.  When they are completely satisfied with the fit they will again consult a professional pattern maker who makes the finished, working version of the pattern out of card or computerized system.  The sample garment is finally made up and tested on a model to make sure it is an operational outfit.  Today most clothing is designed for the mass market  and are called ready to wear.


Fashion Designer, Technical Designer, Textile Designer, Pattern Maker, Tailor, Stylist, Fashion Buyer, Seamstress, Dress Maker, Fashion Forecaster, Model, Fit Model, Fashion Journalist or such end number of terms are used today in a Fashion Global Industry and major countries have a fashion industry.  France, Italy, UK, US, Japan, Germany and Belgium have established international reputation in Fashion.  Likewise the big four fashion capitals of the Fashion Industry are Paris, Milan, New York City and London.

Legendary actor Dilip Kumar died in Mumbai on Wednesday 7 July 2021 at the age of 98

  Dilip Kumar was born Mohammed Yusuf Khan on  11 December 1922       known as "Yusuf Sahab" to many people.   He changed his name to Dilip Kumar on the advice of Hindi film legend, Devika Rani, who had hired him for Bombay Talkies.   He was a very good  football player at school, and was the secretary of his school's football association.  He   was very soft-spoken in real life and he credits his parents for this, pointing out that his mother was very gentle and his father never shouted even when he was upset.  , Dilip Kumar was the biggest star to be discovered by Actor Raj Kapoor. They both  lived close to each other and went to the same college (Khalsa College).   His proficiency in Urdu got him a job in Bombay Talkies (owned by the legendary Devika Rani) in 1942, as a script writer. REKHA WAS BORN IN MADRAS (CHENNAI) TO TAMIL ACTOR GEMINI GANESAN AND TELUGU ACTRESS PUSHPAVALLI.  HER FATHER DID NOT ACKNOWLEDGE HIS PATERNITY DURING HER CHILDHOOD,  THE FINANCIAL STATE OF HER FAMILY COMPELLED HER TO QUIT SCHOOL AND START A CAREER IN ACTING.
